Content for inclusion in curriculum:

•·       Links between parallel events in British, European and World History e.g. Islamic states 600-1600 and Medieval Period in Britain or British Empire against Roman Empire

•·       The development of political power from the Middle Ages to the 20th Century

•·       History of different parts of the UK

•·       Settlement of different peoples to and from British Isles from Middle Ages to 20th Century

•·       Changing lives and attitudes of peoples within clear chronological framework

•·       Development of trade, colonisation, industrialisation and technology with reference to British Empire

•·       Developments in European and world societies e.g. Fall of the Roman Empire, Impact of the French Revolution and Napoleonic era and the rise of modern China

•·       Conflict and co-operation including the First and Second World wars, Holocaust and other genocides. Conflict resolution e.g. UN and EU
